Important Registration Notices & Terms of Participation

Organizer’s Recommendations

• For your own safety, the Organizer strongly advises all participants to independently purchase valid and suitable personal accident insurance.

• The Organizer shall not be held liable for any personal injury or property damage resulting from personal factors during the event. Please carefully evaluate the risks before registering.

Important Notices Regarding Insurance

• In accordance with government regulations, the Organizer has secured Public Liability Insurance. This is the only permissible insurance category for event organizers in Taiwan. The scope of coverage and claim approval are determined solely by the insurance company, based on whether the Organizer is proven negligent. All details are subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance contract.

• Reminder: Standard personal accident insurance and travel insurance policies often exclude coverage for injuries sustained during competitive sports and racing. Participants are urged to verify their policy coverage carefully before purchasing.

Special Notices for Participants (Must Read)

• Participant Liability: Participants are obligated to familiarize themselves with the race routes, road conditions, and relevant regulations prior to the event. If a participant's negligence causes injury, death, or property damage to others, the participant shall bear full legal and financial responsibility.

• Traffic Accident Protocol: If a participant is involved in a collision with a pedestrian or vehicle during the cycling segment (regardless of whether injuries occur), it is strictly classified as a standard traffic accident. Do NOT move the vehicles. You must immediately report to the police and notify event staff for assistance. All involved persons and vehicles must remain at the scene for investigation and must not continue the race. Fleeing the scene may result in criminal charges for a hit-and-run.

• Health Declaration: Participants must guarantee they are in good health and carefully evaluate their physical condition. Individuals with a history of chronic illnesses—such as heart disease, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, or asthma—must not conceal their conditions and are strictly advised against participating. Those who choose to compete do so entirely at their own risk.

• Limitation of Medical Liability: The Organizer will only provide emergency first aid for injuries or illnesses occurring during the race. The Organizer accepts no responsibility for theft or any incidents unrelated to the competition.

• Substance Prohibition: Participants who have consumed alcohol, taken medications that impair judgment, or are suffering from severe fatigue prior to the race are strictly prohibited from competing.

• Emergency Self-Care: If you feel unwell during the race, stop all physical activity immediately, rest in a shaded area, and contact event staff or ask bystanders for assistance. Prioritize your life and health; do not force yourself to continue at the risk of physical harm.

• Traffic Control Limitations: Total road closures are not possible for the cycling and running routes. Participants must stay close to the edge of the road, strictly avoid entering fast lanes, and never move against the flow of traffic. Always remain alert to approaching vehicles from the front and rear.

• Riding Safety: To prevent hazards, do not hang transition bags (or any other baggage) on your bicycle handlebars or any other part of the bike while riding.

• Agreement to Terms: Prospective participants must read all the contents of this brochure carefully and assess their health condition and insurance coverage before registering. Completing the registration process constitutes full agreement with all the above terms. The Organizer shall not be held responsible for any disputes arising from the aforementioned matters.
